Today our cook was either high on drugs or dropped the pepper jar into the enxchilada pot by accident. Whichever it was, this food was awfull. It was disgusting and hard to swallow.
Veggie stuffed bell pepper
Once more my cafeteria deceived me and gave rice with a side of rice. Who in their right mind stuffs a bell pepper with rice with faint traces of cheese and then serves it with rice?
I thought there is going to be some cheese or some other veggie inside. I got hoses!
Cioppino Soup with Fish, Scallops and Shrimp
I can only speculate why our cook tried to poison me today, but I think he must have been denied love from his wife last night to unleash such a vicious act of hate on me.
Immediately after I finished this fish soup I had to pay an extended visit to the company bathroom. It was not pleasant.
Odd mix
Who in their right mind mixes mac and cheese with chilli beans and pork? The cafeteria does. This was one of the most disgusting lunches I have had in a long time. Full of saturated fats and sodium, I decided to get a side order of dolma and olives for better taste. This combination of side orders leads me to believe, that we were fed leftovers today.
Some sort of Mongolian cow
This old chewy cow meat was on today’s menu, cleverly disguised as Mongolian beef. I know the Mongols life a harsh nomadic life and their digestive systems are used to all sorts of abuse, but I didn’t just come out of a yurt, I came from a cubicle. My stomach is slightly more sensitive.
Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp
I do not know what possessed our chef today, but the Fettuccini tasted like rotten fish. What was this? An experiment with Asian stinky fish sauce? I am sure Andrew Zimmern would delight us with comparisons how many times this is better than some other garbage he just choked down. For us normal people it was just plain wrong. Now I just wish to go home and suck on something to get this foul taste out of mouth.
Baked Chimachanga
A Chimachanga is a deep fried burrito. It tastes as disgusting as it sounds. Who in their right mind would deep fry a burrito and then ask customers to pay for their study on food products. I should have been paid for eating this vile roll.
The fruit salad was ok but not worth the price of the entire meal.
Chicken Sandwich
Chicken Sandwich with Cheese and curly fries. It could have been excellent food, if it werent for the fact that the Chicken wasn’t cooked thoroughly. It was quite smelly too. 5 more minutes on the barbie would have made it quite good.
Spicy Thai Noodles
Spicy Thai noodles today.
Somehow I forgot how spicy Thai food can be. I dread the moment in two days when this food will burn again. The watermelon was not enough relief.
Squid
Today I had squid (calamari). Once again a food that came with rice. It must have been 6 weeks since I saw something resembling a potato in our kitchen. I think it came in the form of mashed potatos, but it is too long for me to recall. I always get hungry in the late afternoon when I had rice. I guess rice is cheaper.
EDIT: I just realized that I had mashed potatoes with my meatloaf a few days ago. I forgot because it rarely happens and because I am an idiot.
