St Patrick’s day 2009

Corned beef with cabbage, potatoes and carrots is the traditional food of St. Patrick’s day. Add a little horseradish and you will get a tasty dish. Too bad the cafeteria doesn’t serve beer. I could have an excellent day.

Gyros Pita

During my years living in California I have become quite fond of Mediterranean food. It is light, healthy and tasty. Too bad I haven’t found a good fast food chain serving it. This mich screams for an entrepreneur to get rich with. Why not you?

Mustard Coated Pork Loin

Pigout day at the cafeteria.
Today I stuffed my face with fatty pork, starchy potatoes and salad and topped it all off with an extra serving of hot and sour soup. It’s been a while since I felt full for lunch, but today I was really satisfied, and above all it even tastes good.

Soft Tacos

My iPhone accelerometer didn’t work right, so I am going to ask you to flip your monitors or twist your necks to view the picture.
Foodwise today was as boring as usual. Soft tacos are not the epiphany of good food but they aren’t bad either. It’s like life, most days suck, but not enough to wish for an end.

Quesadilla

Strange flavour fusions are sometimes remarkably good. This chicken quesadilla with barbeque sauce is a perfect example. Who would have thought this would actually taste good, but it did. Sometimes my cafeteria guys surprise me.

Philly Cheese

Sometimes you need to reward yoursel and indulge a little. Small things like a philly cheese steak sandwich can make life so beautiful. White bread and cheese are not high on my list of healthy things, but they taste heavenly. At least I got the greesy fries replaced with salad.

Vegetarian Food

Healthy food or beef brisket? Healthy please, considering how much damage the brisket would do to me. Today I have had the Mediterranean plate and it was quite good.

Chicken Tostada Bowl

A tostada bowl is a disgusting deep fried nacho bowl filled with all the goodness of a basic Mexican meal: Rice, Beans, Meat (Chicken or Beef), Lettuce, Salsa, Sour Cream. Take a spoon firm in your hand and start digging in.

Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad

Back on my healthy diet of low calorie, low saturated fats food. Last Thursday the selection in my cafeteria was aweful, but fortunately there was still this apple, cranberry and chicken salad. It was pretty good, but I had to remove the blue cheese crumbs. I hate blue cheese.

Buttermilk Pork chops again

A decadent, opulent meal wit potatoes, buttermilk pork chops and salad came out of the bowels of our cafeteria. I loved it. For a change there is nothing to rant about today.
