There goes all the healthy eating of yesterday. The Greek goulash was nothing more than a Moussaka mishap with a friendlier name understandable to everyone. Who knows what moussaka is anyways?
As usual, Greek is very heavy and best eaten with some serious booze. Since booze is not an option in the cafeteria, I have to digest this lump of meat without the pleasures of a drink.
Greek Beef Goulash
Mediterranean Tostada with Salad
Today I chose the unusual. In our cafeteria we can chose between the mainstream lunch, the grill (burger or dogs), sandwiches and what I call the unusual or experimental. As per doctors orders, I replaced the fries of my chicken tostada with salad, in the spirit of liver fat reduction. Together with workouts, I should be able to live long.
The tostada (chicken and hummus in pita bread) was a bit dry, but I washed it down just fine, knowing that I made up for a weekend of over-indulgence.
Japanese Chicken Bowl
After yesterdays giant freack chicken another super large portion found it’s way on my plate. 15 years ago I would have gone for seconds, today I couldt finish. The food was above cafeteria average. I should take a nap instead I am working. I guess in today’s economy I should be greatful, which I am not.
Ribeye Steak
The world economy may be going down the drain, but my cafeteria may soon go IPO. I have no other explatation why they suddenly started to serve good food.
Ribeye steak with potatoes, salad, corn bread and rolls were on the menu today and are stretching my stomach today.
If I could just have had a beer, the world would be in perfect harmony for me.
White Fish
Fish with Mango/Tomato-salsa, salad with balsamic vinegarette dressing, and butter rice made today’s lunch. I think the fish was cod, but I do not know for sure. Despite the fact that I am not big on fish and that it came out of our cafeteria, it was quite good.
It makes the crap I had some other days look even worse.
