Chicken or Pigeon

Atrophied chicken or mangy pigeon, somehow the “chicken” today was very small. I had no idea that chicken comes in midget size. Have you ever wondered where the cafeteria buys the food? Maybe some kind of auction? Or maybe they have warehouses full of cafeteria stuff with funny everything, stuff that even Walmart cannot move?

Beef Merengo

Cafeteria guy was dishing out beef stew today. Considering that he probably just spent a few cents on cheap-ass ingredients it wasn’t all that bad. I wonder why they insist on calling a bunch of green lettuce a “refreshing garden salad”. Shouldn’t there be some red with the greens to qualify?
EDIT: first my phone screws up, then I delete the picture, thinking that I alredy uploaded it. No worries, it looked like the other regurgitated stuff on this site.

Stupid iPhone

My Internet connection dropped after thumbing a lenghty post and now it’s gone. That wordpress app screwed up.

Cheese Enchilada

Today our cook was either high on drugs or dropped the pepper jar into the enxchilada pot by accident. Whichever it was, this food was awfull. It was disgusting and hard to swallow.

St Patrick’s day 2009

Corned beef with cabbage, potatoes and carrots is the traditional food of St. Patrick’s day. Add a little horseradish and you will get a tasty dish. Too bad the cafeteria doesn’t serve beer. I could have an excellent day.

Spinach stuffed chicken breadt

A weird mix of foods was on the menu today. It felt like leftover night at the shelter (not that I would know how that feels anyways). The chicken was good and the rest was edible too. Leftovers is not as bad as it sounds. The bum at the other table seemed to think so.

Gyros Pita

During my years living in California I have become quite fond of Mediterranean food. It is light, healthy and tasty. Too bad I haven’t found a good fast food chain serving it. This mich screams for an entrepreneur to get rich with. Why not you?

Mustard Coated Pork Loin

Pigout day at the cafeteria.
Today I stuffed my face with fatty pork, starchy potatoes and salad and topped it all off with an extra serving of hot and sour soup. It’s been a while since I felt full for lunch, but today I was really satisfied, and above all it even tastes good.

Soft Tacos

My iPhone accelerometer didn’t work right, so I am going to ask you to flip your monitors or twist your necks to view the picture.
Foodwise today was as boring as usual. Soft tacos are not the epiphany of good food but they aren’t bad either. It’s like life, most days suck, but not enough to wish for an end.

Baked Chicken Breast

Apparently even my cafeteria cooks can cook up good food on occasion. The lemon caper sauce on the chicken was simply delightful. There was enough flavor in this sauce to pull me through the rest of the week.
